One of the things that defines Carinthians is their respect for nature and, consequently, their respect for the precious products that nature offers us. Our local cuisine is not only "anfoch guat", it is incredibly creative. Responsible for this are the many hard-working, nature-loving farmers and producers and, last but not least, the innovative innkeepers and chefs who conjure up the taste of the region on our plates.

Many of our businesses are committed to the Slow Food concept: Nature is a role model and teacher. Centuries-old values are being rediscovered and the focus is on the original, the authentic, which is the character and essence of our entire region.
